iPads screen mirroring no longer works

We recently had to replace our Meru MC1550 wifi controller. This had to be set up from scratch. Up until the old one failed teachers were using Airserver/Airserve connect to mirror their iPads to their PCs. Since the new one was installed no PCs show up on the iPad to mirror to. They are on the same network as the PCs.

This seems to be too coincidental, is there something within the controller settings that could be blocking this?

I'm not sure, we had the same system and Airserver never worked on it - we moved to Unifi and now it does.

You might want to have a look at the Bonjour settings on the controller, the link below is a bit old but may help you...

Wifi systems often prevent multicast packets as they need to be sent to all clients which slows down the whole network.

 

Multicast DNS is what you'll be looking for in the Wifi controller

Are they on the same SSID and VLAN as the PCs?

yes they are, it is sorted now, I had to enable service control.
