School announcements moving MIS

I'd imagine SIMs have probably lost more schools as these stats don't include independant schools that have left.

 

The majority of independents never used SIMS. They need an MIS that copes with the complexities of fees

Sims still bleeding schools even during what is normally a quiet period. Arbor putting a bit of distance between themselves and the rest of their competitors.

I'm a little surprised we can't filter by type of school. There has tended to be quite a difference in the picture if you are looking at (say) secondary's only. Also I'm not sure how I feel about the Urban Cookie Collective reference.

Picture does indeed look a little different if you filter for Secondary schools:

 

Bromcom: 525 (+10)

Arbor: 429 ( +12)

 

 

The growth in the headline figure is fueled by the primarys going over to Arbor, and looking at the full set, the growth of Bromcom and Arbor is greater than this periods losses by SIMS.

Very interesting to see the movement between MIS'.

 

11 schools moved from Bromcom to Arbor, but none went in the other direction.

 

But perhaps more 'interesting' is that 3 schools went from Arbor to SIMS! And another 3 went from Integris G2 back to SIMS!

 

I can only assume (/hope) these are as a result of trust-level decisions to unify MIS across all schools, because if a single school is voluntarily choosing to return to SIMS ...

I think you are correct on the us to Arbor front as well. I recall talking to a fair few happy users who were "unhappy" about having to move due to a Trust level decision.

The choosing to return to SIMS is something that flabbergasts me as well.

Just read that Bromcom have another 50 new sites for the start of the year.

 

Lets hope its smoother than last year with the new schools not taking up all the bandwidth

Everyone who was Progresso/Cloud School will have moved by now, so churn is likely to be a little up. An amusing aside, this is the message you reach when trying the usual portal login webpage.
