chazzy2501 Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Now I know why the coverage that should have been mediocre is in fact non-existent. I've installed this AP in the Salon and got this feedback from it.... The next nearest AP is 1 floor higher and in the opposite corner of the building.... I think some external device is nuxing our Wi-Fi.. Channel 1 is a 102% used!
DavR Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Ah, you've got a bit of room left in channel 6, you'll be fine That's pretty crazy though, you don't usually see so much congestion in channels 2-5 and 7-10. Someone mucking about, or a very congested area?
chazzy2501 Posted November 9, 2021 Author Posted November 9, 2021 I'm thinking its a non-wifi device eating up the spectrum. I have an old wi-spy time to dust it off!
Roberto Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 Ye olde radiation king hair dryer? I've always been wary of that brand of products... 1
Duke5A Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Ye olde radiation king hair dryer? Great brand. Their radios and TVs last hundreds of years and even stand up against nuclear fallout.
pantscat Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Last time I saw something like this it was a PIR sensor that had gone rogue.
