TwistedHelixis Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 We have been trying to get our lego robotics software working on our school Chromebooks. The LA control our filtering / firewall and have asked us to configure the Chromebooks to bypass proxy for our LAN IP + 127.0.0.1, but unlike Windows I cant seem to find anywhere in the Admin system that has 'Proxy exceptions'. How should I go about adding those IPs as a bypass or exception?
3s-gtech Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 Exceptions are in the wifi settings for the SSID you're using. This is usually pushed and managed in G Suite Admin too. Very similar to the Windows UI (and Mac, Linux etc). Devices/Chrome/Networks/Wifi. Look at "Domains with no proxy" - you should be able to add the IP address in there.
TwistedHelixis Posted October 20, 2021 Author Posted October 20, 2021 Do you know if it supports wild cards *? EDIT for example 10.33.44.* I have been asked to set our domain as a bypass by the LA. BTW would setting our local domain IP as a bypass cause any issues?
3s-gtech Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Not sure, sorry! It *should* work and that *shouldn't* cause any issues.
TwistedHelixis Posted October 20, 2021 Author Posted October 20, 2021 Its saved OK on the settings page. I'll test it on one Chromebook tomorrow and see. cheers
