Bitlocker no recovery password.

I have an issue that a laptop does bitlocker has only created a TPM protector not a recovery password.

 

The laptop is managed by Intune and I see this if I use the command PS> Get BitLockerVolume I see only the TP protector listed.

 

How can I generate the recovery password? I think there was an issue where the logged in user had two accounts so that stopped it registering properly.

There is no key to be backed up.

You should be able to add one, provided you still have use of the machine. You'll want to check the documentation first, but I reckon the command will be something like:

manage-bde -protectors -add -recoverypassword
