I'm setting up a guest Wifi for people who come on site and configuring it within our Unifi Control Panel.

There is the option to do a Guest Portal which is what I have selected and you then enter a password once the user lands on our portal login page.

Or is it better to just setup an additional Wifi network and get the password set when you make the Wifi connection instead?

Which would you go for?

Thanks

We went for the option where you can print out limited time tokens to allow access. Unfortunately our internet is via an LA provided non-transparent proxy, so it's rarely used as guests would need to alter their proxy settings to access the internet.

The guest portal works well (and creates a dedicated SSID as part of the setup process), but be aware that it doesn't provide the level of security/separation that you should be aiming for. Stick it on its own VLAN and you should be fine.
