Has anyone used Heimdal AV before?

 

We are looking at a trust wide agreement and the decision is between Sophos intercept X or Heimdal.

 

Heimdal have come back with a very good proposal, so I'm curious if people are using it in the real world?

What gives you that impression? According to linkedin they've been around since 2014 and have 143 employees (https://www.linkedin.com/company/heimdal-security/) and I'm pretty sure it's the same Heimdal.

Heimdal are fairly large. Maybe not as much in the UK. They are Denmark based. I've seen them used in loads of places. Mostly enterprise.

Yeah probably. No worries. Heimdal is a danish company so I don't believe they would be incorporated in the UK.

Sorry to open up an old thread. Just wondering what you thought of Heimdal and the reasoning for choosing Sophos over Heimdal. I am looking at my options for protection when my Sophos sub ends next year and am considering Heimdal as an option?

Sorry for the delay.

 

Heimdal was alright - I use it for my personal computer.

 

However it was the pricing for me. When we first enquired, they quoted us six figures. So Sophos beat them by tens of thousands.

 

I fed this back to Heimdal.. who all of a sudden managed to reduce the cost by over 100K! So it made me feel like they just tried it on with us..
