hardtailstar Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 My max operating temperature is 25c, severe degradation in functionality above that. mine is about 10 degrees! Anything above that and i dont cope well! 1
BKGarry Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 I am very lucky where my bedroom faces north, so I can kinda get a breeze once the sun goes down. It is bearable to walk to work from about 7am to 7:30 but the last 15 mins become totally unbearable and I start melting. Maybe I need to move further north.

6Foot2 Posted July 24, 2021 Author Posted July 24, 2021 A few drops of rain here (North West Herts) and MUCH cooler than of late. Lively over Kent, though!

elsiegee40 Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 (edited) Dunno what you lot are moaning about. We slept here last night… Picked the wrong weekend to go glamping in Sussex [emoji23] It’s not raining at the moment though and bacon and eggs help to re-energise. Tent trumped! We stayed at 'The camp' near Bristol at the inland surfing place Wed/Thurs. Stunning weather and cooled nicely overnight.
hardtailstar Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 Tent trumped! I hope you aired it out after! Sun is back out here but due another thunderstorm tomorrow! 1

Andrew_C Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 (edited) And this pic taken last night... Not too sure I've got work to go back to. The red light is the crane building our new gym & pool. Sorry, up load failings ; I'll try again later. Edited July 24, 2021 by Andrew_C
6Foot2 Posted July 26, 2021 Author Posted July 26, 2021 More hot weather may be on the way: Link: Met Office issues update on second UK heatwave predicted for August | The Argus The Met Office has issued an update over the potential August heatwave after last week’s blistering temperatures cooled this weekend. Forecasters and meteorologists correctly predicted the heatwave in July which forced Public Health England to issue a heat health alert this week for the very first time. Beaches, parks and other public spaces were packed as Brits enjoyed blistering heat with highs of 32C. Health experts urged people to spend time in the shade, drink plenty of water and stop walking their dogs. Last week, forecasters have predicted that the hot weather could return in just a matter of weeks. The Met Office issued a mid to long term forecast predicting the weather we can expect in August. It said: "Into early August, warmer and drier-than-average conditions look likely to return for much of the UK. "By mid-August confidence becomes rather low, but with changeable conditions most likely. "Above-average temperatures continue to be signalled for much of the period, perhaps becoming very warm or hot at times in the south." However showers can also be expected with forecasters adding that August will have ''drier conditions with sunny spells and ''showers or longer periods of rain". Now with hopes of a second heatwave in August, the Met Office has issued an update, saying “settled, drier and warmer” are expected to return next month. The Met Office said: "Changeable conditions look likely to continue through the start of this period, with sunny spells mixed in with some showers at times or longer spells of rain, these more prevalent in the northwest." The forecasting agency has added to the hopes of a second heatwave, saying: "Although confidence in the detail is low, there are tentative signals suggesting that high pressure may become more dominant during the middle of August, bringing more settled, drier and warmer conditions for many." -> "August Heatwave 2021"...?

Or maybe not... They said there was only a "slight risk of another heatwave" after the middle of next month, but added they "expect low pressure to be the main weather driver until mid-August, and potentially for the entire month".It is also expected to be "cooler than normal for August" with wetter and windier weather. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/uk-news/bbc-weather-issues-devastating-update-21136706
