Sonic007 Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 Hi everyone, We have moved to another provider and no longer need the Proxy that was being set via a specific GPO I'd called Proxy Settings. I've removed it and done a gpupdate/force but machines are still logging on with the proxy enabled. I've tried full shutdown. Still not working. Any ideas? Thankyou.
strawberry Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 Push the same gpo but leave the proxy blank. Sometimes with GPO's you need to undo the change rather than just delete the GPO. 1
StevieM Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 (edited) Instead of just removing the old GPO, have you tried replacing it with one that specifically instructs not to use a proxy? Edit: @strawberry's post wasn't there when I first started to reply. If that doesn't work, you could always try this - Use Group Policy to apply WinHTTP proxy settings to Windows clients Edited July 16, 2021 by StevieM 1
Sonic007 Posted July 16, 2021 Author Posted July 16, 2021 (edited) Thanks all. I had removed the old proxy so re-created a NO_Proxy GPO with nothing filled in for the Proxy settings. Seems to be working. Thankyou. Wish it could have been so simple to remove and update but I guess that would be too good to be true. Edited July 16, 2021 by Sonic007
