You definitely need to shrink the log file, set the recovery mode to simple, and limit its size 1Gb should be more than plenty.

 

Out of interest, if I do this do I need to keep the database size reduzed, or is it clever enough to delete itself to stay under 1GB. I assume it does it itself but noticed some forums mention setting a backup for SIMPLE mode so the database stays small, which confussed me.

Most enterprise backup software (Veeam etc) has the option to truncate the logs once it backsup so it is automated for all intent, but depends what you're using really

BTW I am back up to over 30gb, which takes the stress off. Planning to do a full migration to new OS over the next few months.

The local authority script doesnt backup Solus3, just SIMS & FMS
