I have seen emails from external people that I have communicated with showing [External] in the subject when they reply to me and also wording attached saying "CAUTION: External email. Do not click or open unknown links or attachments".

Is there any way to do this in G Suite so external emails are marked in this way?

I know gmail marks the email as "external" now but its the appended content "CAUTION: External email. Do not click or open unknown links or attachments." that I would like to add.

We have this and it's one via Exchange mail flow rules. When it detects a sender outside the domain, it appends the words [EXTERNAL] to the front of the mail subject. You can also have it append a message at the start of the email, or really do a number of things depending on the rule.

I'm not too familiar with G Suite, but it may be worth looking to see if it has similar options?

That's correct. I'd recommend turning on as many options as you can in Gmail's 'Safety' settings, if you haven't already. IMHO modifying the body of incoming messages seems a bit naughty anyway, but I'll admit that's just my view. Your users may become inured to it, too.

All hail the mighty Google. May its godlike machine-learning nudge theory design choices keep us safe.

All settings in Safety already ON.
