In Memorium

Eric Carle

So, farewell then,

Eric Carle,

Author of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'.

Your magnum opus fed the minds of

Generations of children all over

The world.

You probably wrote other books, too,

But we didn't have much of an appetite

For them.

Now, you are feeding some

Very Hungry Worms.

(In the style of) EJ Thribb

That is sad. I've read the book to my children 1000s of times. I suppose his story will live on forever and continue to bring joy to children around the world. Not a bad legacy is it.

I've just found out. So sad!

My daughter likes "The very hungry cartepillar" very much. As well as "Brown bear what do you see", "Very busy spider", "Baby bear", "From head to toes". His books are easy to read and remember. My girl is 3.8 years old, she learnt "Brown bear" by heart in english (we are russians).

RIP, Mr. Carle
