pixlmixgabriel Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 Hi all, Just wondered if anyone uses Kyocera printers on here and have had direct contact with the company, what is your experience with them? Good or bad? Can you say why? Thank you kindly
dmason2 Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 we use Kyocera MFDs, have annodata for support, if anything goes wrong can give them a ring and they're out the next day, or even same day. Can't fault kyocera they just keep going and going
danielghares Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 We've got 16 Kyocera copiers and support with them. When the machines work they're fine, but our reprographics ladies have had to call out so many engineers in the last year to fix various hardware faults. We've also found they're ridiculously slow to respond to our calls, citing various excuses for the delays. They also provide support for our papercut, which is very hit and miss depending on who you're speaking to. We had an issue ongoing for nearly 2 months with certain MFD's not scanning to email, and in the end we ended up solving the issue ourselves before they did!
Chenderit Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 My school also uses Kyocera MFDs (along with a larger Ricoh in repro because Kyocera didn't make a booklet maker attachment) plus PaperCut MF for print management. CCS provide the support/maintenance which has been good so far.
howartp Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 We've had 23 Kyocera's with them (via Annodata) for 3 years. Just renewing the contract for further 2 years (assuming Governors said yes last night!).
Edu-IT Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 We have one Kyocera machine in reprographics, it works fine and support is handled by another company not Kyocera. That said, I'd pick Konica Minolta which we have elsewhere in school if I had to pick between the two.

By contrast, we moved from Konica to Kyocera 3 years ago, and would not have renewed that contract, even ignoring lockdown usage.
