Papercut Print deploy

Hi,

 

I have had enough of the failures of deploying printers through group policy. Is anyone here using papercut print deploy? Is it any good.

We use Print Deploy along with Microsoft Intune and it works brilliantly

We started using it towards the start of the first lock down and it was working great.

 

Then papercut pushed an update (which automatically installs and gives you no warning it's going to/has installed) which killed it. The printer wouldn't install correctly even with another update they provided.

 

We were left with around half our machines unable to print as the script they provided to fix it didn't work.

 

Due to the lockdown I reimaged the lot (we were going to reimage over the summer anyway)

 

In the end we got Printer Mapper which works great and is cheap

We use it alongside Google Enhanced Desktop Security in most sites across our Trust. Works fine.
