Birmingham City Council HR Portal and Java

We're a BCC school and use HR Portal, we currently using the last free release of Java to support this. However, with the current security issues within the Education sector this is something we'd like to resolve by purchasing licenses for Java to enable us to update.

 

However, we run our Unifi controller on the RedHat build of OpenJDK and this works fine. What has everyone else done?

Seems to work for the few odd things that I have used it for and is free/gets updated.
