robyholmes Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 Hi All, We've recently moved to Bromcom and I wondered if anyway had found a way of creating a shortcut on the task bar to Bromcom? So staff can launch it directly from the taskbar? I know you can do this in Edge but I'd like to find a way of pushing it out from Group Policy. I can create a .url shortcut in the start menu and I've tried using our StartMenu layout XML which also pins taskbar shortcuts, but it doesn't seem to pin a .URL. Thanks, Rob 1

Thanks, RobWhy not just drop a shortcut on staff desktops. Which can be done using group policy shortcuts. We do this for CPOMs safeguard reporting.

I could, I just try and avoid desktops as staff like to fill them and complain when they can't find the shortcut.
Bromcom_Support Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 Hi Robyholmes Welcome to Bromcom! How about deploying it as a favorite in their browser or as their default home page?
paulkerton Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 I would look at having a default home page on their browser that has a lot of shortcuts to the various web based tools they're using.
robyholmes Posted April 14, 2021 Author Posted April 14, 2021 We have a SharePoint intranet with links to Bromcom. I was just asked to have it in the taskbar. Edge can do this already, just can't find a way of doing it via Group Policy.
