R.I.P.

he had his faults but I always respect his dedication and loyalty

When he came out of hospital I thought he looked unwell - was hoping he would make 100 but apparently it wasn't to be

Very sad news, shame he couldn't make it another few months to get a telegram from his wife.

I was lucky enough to meet him in 2015, in his role as patron for the BHF.

My dad met him whilst in the forces as a tech at a parade before I was born. Prince Philip came out with a funny one liner in a conversation with my dad which made him laugh.

I am pretty sure he will be annoyed he didn’t make it to 100.

He did have his faults, but hopefully that won’t overshadow what he achieved through the DofE award scheme and through the WWF

Sad news for the royal family and millions are the world.

I’m not a big royalist but he was my favourite. Come out with some cracking one liners.

Agreed - very sad news. Some of his one liners were.. questionable but I don't think he meant offense. He always reminded me of my grandad and wouldn't take long for anyone to warm up to him.
