So we use Google File Stream, say we get hit with a ransomware attack would all our Google accounts be compromised as well? Mixed answers online , some just say can restore from the version history within Google drive but can’t say I fancy doing that for Tb’s worth of files.

Often wondered this with onedrive as well. If the local copy gets encrypted, surely those changes to the files would get sync'd to the cloud as well?

Guess its the same, restore from previous versions but yeah, dont fancy that for tb's

OneDrive has the ability to restore everything to a specific date/time. So it’s very easy if you want everything restored.

Not sure if Google allows the same

I Would be backing up my data to another location just incase as well, If a hacker got in they could delete the previous versions as well? I am not too sure about google drive version history as we are on Microsoft 365
