So we use Google File Stream, say we get hit with a ransomware attack would all our Google accounts be compromised as well? Mixed answers online , some just say can restore from the version history within Google drive but can’t say I fancy doing that for Tb’s worth of files.

Hi, We have used Eclipse - Microlibrarian for many years and the renewal is due next month and imo the price is quite high, what software do other schools use for their library? We want it to be cloud based but doesn't have to be all singing all dancing just to be able to sign books in and out. Thanks

Hi, We have a number of SMART SB680 that are probably around 10 to 11 years old and we use Smart Notebook 10. A few of them keep randomly disconnecting so become un-interactive but then a log off and back in again fixes it. This is obviously inconvenient during a lesson. We've tried swapping out the controllers for some spare ones we had knocking around but still do the same thing. Has anyone else come across this and have a fix? or are they just old and need replacing (with no money available) Thanks

+1 for Google Slides, we use a Chromebox in kiosk mode but used to use a laptop with an internet shortcut as a startup program. Can be edited on any device, anywhere and looks the same as powerpoint so they should be used to the interface.

Which build of Win 10 do you have? Because for us it works with SMB 1.0 off with 1607 but on 1709 it doesn't work with it disabled.

Has anyone successfully built a package for Adobe CS5.5 64-bit for Windows 10 on a CC4.5 network? When I make a package it fails straight away without much information in the event logs. It is definitely compatible as I've installed it manually on my machine.

Hi, We are moving staff over from our Admin network to the Curriculum network. They currently use the 2010 version of Outlook on the admin network so I've installed it on their new workstation. When opening Outlook and going through the setup I put their username and password in and get a green tick but then it asks for their password again (it's already entered and remember password is ticked) this is now just on a constant loop, if you press cancel it opens another window displaying the email address and the sever its trying to connect to. The only other option then is to click cancel which just closes outlook and you have to start all over again. I’ve tried resetting their profile (We are a RM CC4.5 school), doing a health check, deleting the outlook file that is written within the AppData folder but still does the same thing. Can log into their account via a web browser so the password is correct, I’ve even tried changing the password. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Hi, We are looking at getting Papercut and syncing it with AD. Instead of the users logging on the photocopiers with their usernames and password can you link it with a code instead? I.e 287055 if we enter this into say the Telephone field in AD? Thanks

Hi, We've installed the software and activated the license. I can send messages to the 2 computers I've deployed the software to, but am I right in thinking they should be able to send messages or is it only the computer the server software is installed on that can send the messages?

We use Freshdesk, it's all webbased

I'm obviously being really stupid but I create the pendrive and then re-install Win 10 Pro on a laptop and once its installed and gets to the setup part I plug the pendrive in but nothing happens? What am I missing? Thanks

We have been asked to look into a way of sending an alert to the member of staff on Senior Cover for the day. It needs to be as simple a button on the desktop that sends an alert to a computer or mobile without having to enter any information. Ideally it would contain the computer or room name so the member of staff on Senior Cover knows where to go. Does anyone know of any software for this or has any ideas of a way to create something?

Hi, We went to the RM Tech Seminars last Thursday and we are looking to change the default Remote Control option in the RM Mangement Console to something like TightVNC, I've installed it on my machine and on a couple machines in a IT classroom and it works fine by manually opening it and typing in the machine name. When I've tried changing the path in the RM Management Console to TightVNC to this "c:\Program Files\TightVNC\tvnviewer.exe /start:[computer]" I get the following message "Error in TightVNC Viewer: Connection parameters (host,port,socket,gates) is empty" So I am obviously missing something somewhere maybe the [computer] part is wrong? Has anyone had any luck with this? Thanks
