Deleting Links to Teams File from Within OneDrive

Hi folks,

 

Is there an idiotproof way to delete links to Teams files from within OneDrive?

 

Somehow a couple of staff have managed to create links to Teams files areas within their personal OneDrive. In one instance this showed with a chain link on the folder icon, but in another instance it didn't. I unwittingly deleted the folder thinking the staff member had created a duplicate, but it transpired they hadn't, and thousands of files had to be restored to the Team.

 

Seems really dangerous to allow this because of the confusion it causes, with me included!

Having spoken to Microsoft support, something has corrupted on this folder. We're looking at ways to remove it.

 

The staff created these links by going into the Team area via SharePoint, and there's an option there "Add shortcut to OneDrive".
