Hi all,

 

I'm trying to find the evidence of where all our data should be now we're out of the EU and really struggling! Everything I can find is way over-complicated, aimed at businesses, European schools, UK schools with European parents and all sorts. I just want something which firmly says "You need this data in the UK, and this data is fine still in the EU." I'm not trying to find where I need to keep it as I'm pretty confident in that, I just need to evidence to Governors I've got it right.

We are in a four month bridging period (up to April 2021) where previous arrangements continue.

The UK has deamed that EU provisions are adequet to allow data to transfer from UK to EU.

EU to UK transfer restrictions are delayed until the EU data protection board have ratified the recommendation from the European comission that the UK's provisions are adequet.

There is an option to extend this bridging period to six months if needed.
