and it would still be a 500Mb file deployed via WSUS so.....

Either have to keep clicking the check for updates, or install it manually/via deployment method

Managed to import after fixing the WSUS server...

What was broke and how did you fix it?

If it was this, I had the same problem - so I'll put it here for anyone else...

reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319 /V SchUseStrongCrypto /T REG_DWORD /D 1

EDIT: Couldn't import updates into WSUS

Yep that was it, strange that they aren't releasing to WSUS maybe because it didn't affect everyone Edited by caffrey

As discussed before it looks like KB5001568 is the fixed patch for us (windows 1809) however, it is not in WSUS, I'm assuming Microsoft have pushed this out to all machines regardless if they use wsus or not?

@ass17 still having issues ? Before I push it out...

Yes, the BSOD is fixed but now the issue is with the windows photo printing dialog.

If someone who would also like to test this out would be much appreciated.

Must have a networked printer Konica Minolta and Paint.Net

When you print an image in Paint.Net it uses the old built-in windows photo printing dialog, when the printout finally comes out, it fails to print the bottom half of the page.

Print with any other program, prints fine.

We just have this problem. Using Lexmark printer, students use old printing dialog to print multiple pictures like a grid. It is very useful like that.

Please let us know if you find a solution how fix it.

We have had to roll back the update and patches for now.

For us, 802 was not the problem, it was only after 809 went on that our computers BSoD when printing to our Kyocera printers. Removing 809 on it's own and they were perfectly happy. the 2 subsequent out of bounds hotfix patches that have been released have resolved it all (at least we've had no screams about white lines so far this week since the 2nd hotfix went on)

Does anyone know if there is going to be an updated updated in SCCM as I'm still showing 5000802 and 5000808 as not expired or superseded?

Or to I have up import the patch manually?

Thanks

you need to add the out of bounds hotfixes into your WSUS server via the Windows Update Catalogue, then SCCM will deploy it out to stations

Anyone dared to try the April patch yet? Has the printing issue been resolved? The last time I saw anything, the patch they released was recalled.

To add to this, I have installed it this morning and it pushes the new Edge on. So be aware.

well as the out of band hotfix resolved the printing issue, you would assume that they included it in the latest windows update for those that had not installed it after the issues with 5000808.

Oh and the old version of Edge being replaced isn't a bad thing since it stopped being developed ages ago

Whole new set of GPOs with the new Edge isn't there ? That look suspiciously like the chrome ones

well it's based on Chromium, so yes the GPO's are similar to the Chrome ones, and we've been running it for quite a while without any issues
