Cloud Filtering

Hi,

 

I have been asked to look in to some cloud filtering for laptop that go off site.

 

Does anyone use such software?

We use Lightspeed Relay, as the majority of our off-site devices are Chromebooks we push the Relay extension out via GSuite Admin and it gives them in the correct filtering for either staff or student.

No good for us.

 

School is on SWGFL for filtering and office 365.

 

Just would like some filtering on the student laptops that they take home.

It's time to unbundle filtering from broadband connectivity now I think. The idea that sticking an appliance on the school's connection that can do it all, is pretty much done for. If I see another ISP offering Netsweeper as an answer I might sob. Yes, they have off-site options, but rarely when configured by internet providers - and even then that's like saying "Well I have a Robin Reliant, I can get it in the F1 race - it is a car after all"

Not a School but have used McAfee Web Proxy and Cisco Umbrella for client filtering. Both are pretty good.

Bit of a push on this on. Any other software that you can recommend?

 

I will start contracting the above to find out some information and pricing.

What on site filtering do you have? Most products have some way of filtering off site now.

They on South West Grid for Learning (RM) I need to contract them about User Based filtering so i will ask the question at the same time.

Seems that LGFL is about to include Senso in their package, not sure if this is a fact or a sales pitch..
