With school closures coming to an end we are trying to get an idea of how much children have engaged with the online learning process.

Is there a way we can get a report showing how long each child has spent on Google Classroom? I would be happy if we could do it by class but I wouldn't want to do it individually as we have 500 kids.

Has anyone done this?

Thanks

I would expect GAM would be able to get this out, but I'm still learning how to use it. They don't actually do much in Classroom though, so you might want to look at Meet engagement, minutes etc. Google Admin > Audit Log has all the info, but it's getting that out into a format that makes sense. There is an export by OU, this could be useful for me as I have all pupils in their respective Year Group OU across school.

This has come up a few times but I don't believe there are any reports, audit logs or API support for what you're after. GAM will only be able to pull whatever the Google APIs make available.

You've got Admin -> Reports -> User Reports -> Apps Usage, which shows a timestamp for each users' last use of Classroom, but that's all, so not really of any use. Maybe useful in support of targeted interventions, but not really for general reporting.

You've also got Admin -> Reports -> Classroom -> Active classes, but that's likely to be reflecting teachers' activity more than anything else, and isn't likely to tell you anything beyond "the school as a whole has been using Classroom a lot lately".
