Sad day for UK gaming industry, unless it brings security and stability to those that work there, but my gut says EA jsut want the IP, not the ppl.

Yeah, not positive to push EA influence into their IPs. After the history of fantastic studios being bought and shut by EA, I hope they don’t carry that approach on.

How long before Codemasters games get pulled from steam? (or was it someone else who pulled their games from steam and other app stores recently?)

 

There's been so many great Codemasters games over the years like the early Colin McRae/TOCA games and also Dirt Rally on PC (the sim like one, not the arcade type ones).

 

I also suspect it's partly down to CM having the F1 licence (and WRC from 2023). EA picks up 2 official licences up one fell swoop.

To be fair, I don’t hate EA. I’ve enjoyed many of their games over 30 odd years, and Star Wars: Squadrons is a real illustration of them learning from mistakes.
