Google Meet - Can students access external Google Meets?

I know we have prevented them from creating a Google meet with their school account.

Can we prevent them from join a external meet? Eg a student creates a google meet using a @gmail.com account and invites a student with a @schooldomain.com account.

i can't seem to find this option in the Admin panel.

EDIT: I've just managed to test this.... i created a meet on a domestic account and invite a test student account. Its unable to connect "You are unable to join this meeting on you school/EDU account, please use another google account".

So that's good....... i'll be damned if i know where i have enforced that??

It's a restriction by Google. EDU accounts cannot join normal meets created on @gmail.com accounts. I think you can add exceptions as the admin, but that is like that by default
