Frog hosted onsite, no contract no access?

Hello all,

 

Their feedback is that we lose access to our self hosted virtual appliance and webserver when the contract runs out.

Is that the case, can someone confirm this?

Have you checked the terms you signed? Sounds plausable that it would - as you aren't paying for the software anymore.

Yes, I would check the T&Cs. When we brought the original FROG circa 2010 I believe it was an upfront licence, but when FROGOS/FrogLearn came out in 2013 ish I believe they moved to a yearly licence fee model.

We dumped frog 5 yeaRs ago and ours is still running.use it as a backup web filtering.

Yes, i didn't spend much time searching for the contract after they confirmed it twice in writing.

 

This was inherited and is getting decommissioned.

But some teachers have to manually transfer their setup - materials to Google.

They are not going to like the deadline..

 

Not bothered much about the Centos server, as it's virtual, and the resources are going to be transferred.
