Hi,

This is a new one for me and I can't quite wrap my head around it, was wondering if someone on here might be able to help.

I am trying to do the following:

CCTV NVR > Ethernet VGA Sender > MS220-48FP > MS120-48LP (In a different building) > Ethernet VGA Receiver

To display an image on a connected screen. I have been told it is possible using VLANs & Trunking but I am having a bit of a brain blank today.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

What make/model are the sender and receiver? Are they network devices or devices which use cat5 to transmit the signal?

Is the unit an extender or a network interface/convertor?

If it is just an extender it won't work when connected through a network switch.

I would assume it is a converter as it outputs from the NVR via VGA to the sender with an Ethernet out. This ran to a screen with Ethernet in to VGA out.

By convertor I meant that it would convert the signal to protocol standards so it would flow though a switch. If it is just converting an input from VGA to RJ45 that is different.
