Microsoft Teams Insights - problems

Hi. Is anyone using Insights to log student activity within an online lesson? We want to use for both attendance and engagement. Just being in the meeting doesn't create live data - so we ask for a 'thumbs' up at the start of the lesson, as this shows as activity. Now - when trialling this, all seemed to work fine and Insights was logging in real time the activity. However, it's not started logging for some and not for others. Today has been horrendous - 13 students inactive and when you look - maybe only 3 or 4.

 

Is anyone else using Insights and experiencing the same problem?

We have found that the Insights data doesn't full appear until the next day, we were (are) trying to use it for tracking attendance and engagement but this delay is causing problems!

 

We are also suggesting to staff to use the meeting attendance download at the end of the meeting but again this is causing issues, it appears at the moment tracking attendance is the biggest issues we have with the way we are teaching remotely.

Agree - a massive issue for us too. However it does show activity during the meeting - hence us using the thumbs up in the chat window.
