Agree - a massive issue for us too. However it does show activity during the meeting - hence us using the thumbs up in the chat window.

Hi. Is anyone using Insights to log student activity within an online lesson? We want to use for both attendance and engagement. Just being in the meeting doesn't create live data - so we ask for a 'thumbs' up at the start of the lesson, as this shows as activity. Now - when trialling this, all seemed to work fine and Insights was logging in real time the activity. However, it's not started logging for some and not for others. Today has been horrendous - 13 students inactive and when you look - maybe only 3 or 4. Is anyone else using Insights and experiencing the same problem?

HPlum78 - thank you. I'll have a look at that. Insights shows meeting attendance beautifully the day after - just not 'live' so to speak. We think we may have a way round it by asking students when they join the meeting to put a short greeting on chat. Even if it's a thumbs up - it will then register as 'activity' and will show as live data.

We're trying out Insights to log even when they just log into the remote lesson - without any other activity. So as a register basically. However, it's not showing present students who are showing as participants in the lesson when you join it. Is this a time lag? Or do we need to do anything in settings?

I have a group of students in a user defined group set up today, that I want historical data on. The problem is when I change the date to the last academic year 2015-16, the group doesn't show because it didn't exist. When I try to customise the dates for the group being 'active' to last year, it won't allow me to save it. Any ideas on a way round this please? We want to produce historical attendance data for the group and then look at interventions for this current academic year.
