bald_pig Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 I wouldn't use those processors and 4Gb of RAM for any machine. Speak to @ICTDirect_Dave and see what he has in at the moment. 1
VeryPC Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 If we can be of any assistance @genesis then be sure to give us a shout. We've got a shipment of Chromebooks making their way to our Sheffield HQ as we speak! - Ryan 1

JamesFish2020 Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 RAM is slightly on the low side but for general learning and completing work online then theyll be fine. This is what we did. Yes they are a little "slow" but for Online work Office365/Teams, they are useable.
Norphy Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Out of the two, I'd get the Intel one. The CPU is by no means the best in the world but it is at least a "Comet Lake" CPU, i.e. one based around the same architecture as a Core i3/i5/i7/i9. It's not a glorified Atom like the Celerons that everyone's favourite laptop from the DfE has got. The AMD is based around their older CPU architecture and would perform similarly to an Atom.
