[sims] SIMS InTouch - Send General Message (link to student)

Hoping that somebody can help me with this...

 

It seems that when I message parents who have more than one child at our school, even though I have sent the message to the contacts of a specific pupil or specific year group, it doesn't show for which of their children the message is related to.

 

What I want is to be able to tag the relevant pupil in the message so that the parent knows which of their children the message is for i.e. generic self-isolating letter sent to parents.

 

For some reason when I go into send general message I don't have the Pupil/Student Data Items button for me to be able to do so. I only have the School Data Item button,

 

 

What I also don't have is a template button so that I can choose another template which may contain this Item button.

 

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

I think those sending out these messages in my school are putting something like "please do not send your Year 8 child into school" as we had similar queries from parents asking which child needed to self-isolate.

As for the templates button, if you can't see then perhaps you do not have sufficient access? Someone in your school must be creating templates for different uses?

good idea but that doesn't help with twins... (if only 1 twin has to isolate)
