New Chromebooks for a small school

One of our primary schools is about to move to Chromebooks. They are a small school so this is a very big investment for them. I have little experience of Chromebooks. The following have been recommended. I would therefore really appreciate any advice you could give me. What do you think - which will be up to the job of coping with all those inquisitive little fingers, stand the test of time and also be good for all the forthcoming educational demands:

Asus are good builds for primary, they have good rugged casing.

We recently deployed Lenovo 14e Chromebooks supplied by GeTech to all our staff. Lovely machine but probably a bit fragile for primary use. I am impressed by the HP Chromebook 11 G8 EE. Looks like it has been designed for a hard time.

We use the 11" Dell Chromebook 3100 4GB 32GB (previously used 3180's) in our primaries. We have around 300 of these devices, have been using for around 3+ years and so far have only replaced one screen.

We had some Dell 3100s from the Government. Nice Chromebook, no complaints.

Thank you. There is nothing like experience when it comes to knowing how rugged computers are, especially where children are involved. That was my worry with Lenova - not every computer is primary child proof! I will check out the NGfL and Dells - challenge is the school wants 14" and that impacts on the budget. Have they looked at devices in order to decide they want 14"? They might find when they look at some devices in the flesh they change their mind and the fact they'll get more for their money with a smaller screen. Usually the education devices with the more rugged cases are smaller screen too.

 

I'd heartily recommend the HP EE or the Dell 3100 Chromebooks - both are excellent.
