Private Forum for users with personal emails

I was asked to allow users from any domain to join our Google Classrooms for a training group.

I had denied the request as it seems like you cannot change this setting for specific Classrooms and rather only the entirety of Google Classroom.

 

Then I had tried Teams, as the users will be using their personal email addresses so I had thought they could as a guest but when following the link emailed, it seems you need a Microsoft email account.

 

Can anyone recommend me an area for users to share files and start chats that can be monitored by an admin?

are they from known domains? like another school for example? this should just be a case of adding to the whitelist in your google admin panel if so.

Unfortunately they are the free public domains such as gmail, hotmail, etc.

I did see the ability to whitelist certain domains but I would still be hesitant.
