Selling used IT Servers

Does anyone have any recommendations on companies that purchase used IT equipment?

I found a company called techbuyer who offer to purchase used IT servers if anyone has used them a recommendation would be great!

I do have to ask, how old are they and what spec, as that may be a factor in getting a company to take them off your hands.

If you've found someone, just give them a call - it's you selling, not buying, so nothing to be worried about. You can check them out on companies house if you're worried about getting paid.

 

Also quantity will be important, many companies wouldn't be interested in small quantities - ebay might be a better bet for a handful of kit. imo

ICT Direct are part of the same company. Purchased off ICT direct without issues not sold to them but might be an option for you.

The servers are

4x dl380 gen8 2 fibre cards

2x hp lefthand units

Techbuyer are fine to deal with, I've purchased from them before.

 

Based up near Harrogate I believe, always found them helpful and responsive.

just make sure that they're going to wipe any data or remove any drives :-)

So got a quote today from techbuyer - £500 for 4 dl365p gen8 with 900Gb SAS disk and 160Gb RAM with fibre card that is £125 each!!!!!!

And a lefthand unit 2TBx12 - £50!!!!!!

 

 

Bargain hardware were not interested.
