Darksoth Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 Hi All, We've had a couple of examples of the touchpad on these laptops becoming completely unresponsive & wondering if anyone else had seen this? The touchpad stops responding all together while in Windows & even in the pre-boot diagnostics. The first one came down to replacing the touchpad (& palmrest by extension) after bios/chipset updates made no difference. Seems a bit odd to have 2 in such short succession. Any thoughts or observations welcome! TIA
Cazab Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 Are they wiping down devices? I've had a few touchscreen Chromebooks have similar issues because the school were initially using very liquidy wipes. 1
Darksoth Posted October 16, 2020 Author Posted October 16, 2020 That's a really good point, & not one that had occurred to me. Yes, everything is being wiped down & there are a few varieties of wipes in the wild so I wonder if some are being a bit *too* thorough Something to check. Thanks for nudging the obvious to the surface on a Friday!
