newpersn Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 Hi, Is anyone having problems with Outlook freezing and taking it time to open? Got reports at 2 sites that are having problems. (both sites have 100/100mb lines) Thanks
ajg Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 We had the whole of Office 365 (outlook, teams etc) pretty much grind to a halt yesterday morning and bandwidth usage was fine, outlook still operating slow this morning for us. Assuming it has been a problem at Microsoft's end.
pete Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 Yup, seeing a similar thing here for Outlook connected to Office 365 and for people using OWA there's noticable lag between typing and text appearing and accompanying high cpu use by the browser. I wasn't sure if the lag symptoms were down to a browser update (local Firefox and Chrome both had a version update this week).
armadillo Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Hi all, we’ve been having same issue as you all; are you still experiencing the same issue? If the issue is fixed, please advise what you did to fix it. Thanks in advance.
newpersn Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 I've swapped users who reported issues with Outlook to cached mode and that has seemed to helped. Not had any more reports as of that and its been a few weeks.
armadillo Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Thanks. Did you have any problems with internet bandwidth and what bandwidth you had then? Thanks
leegcvcc Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 cached mode is the recommended config to save on bandwidth, as the uncached mode is pretty heavy data-wise comparatively. Well it was when I looked at it all a couple of years back now.
newpersn Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 Thanks. Did you have any problems with internet bandwidth and what bandwidth you had then? ThanksNot really. Depending on size of mailbox and how much cached mail you keep you keep storee Didn't see any dip in bandwidth or connection issues.
newpersn Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 What’s your broadband bandwidth? Thanks100/100mb fibre with SWGfL.
