Registering 6th form Students

We are looking at a system that will write session marks back to SIMS for 6th form students if they arrive before their first lesson. We used to have students queue up infront of the office window and tick their names off a list, which is not very C19 secure!

 

I was looking at the SignIn app which allows students to register via contactless MiFare passes, however this will only write a late mark back into sims for one session, it will not work for both sessions.

 

What do other schools use for registering 6th form sessions?

We don't use it for this YET but Inventry does this for AM/PM sessions with Mifare.

 

If you're in before "x" then you are marked present for AM. If you're still here at 1pm and sign out after 3pm, or you've gone out and back at lunch, you are marked present for PM. If you go out before 1pm and don't return, you're marked absent.

 

Something like that anyway.
