Does it occur on all workstations or just one, all users or jsut one ?

If its a specific workstation easier to delete the sims .net folder and re-deploy it than figure out the specific problem.

Is there a default windows printer set ?

Yes - Seen this before on Kyocera drivers.

Right click the printer and selecting 'Printing Preferences'

At the bottom left it'll display either PCL5 or PCL6. Click this and then untick 'GDI compatible mode'.
