Hi @Bromcom_Support,

 

Is there an option somewhere to be able to display a "Known As" column on the register for all those that want to be called Freddie rather than Frederick etc?

Does the register not show preferred name... would have assumed this would be the case, but possibly not.

I think it already shows the preferred name by default. I certainly found this with the search function.

If Preferred Name is populated on the student record, Bromcom uses this thru-out the system, else legal name is shown.

The register will show the students preferred name as long as this is populated in the MIS. Hope this helps :-)

@ridleyrumpus You'll find the preferred first and last name fields on the student's profile page, if you hit the "pencil" edit icon next to the students name at the top you will get a pop-up box with the option to enter preferred first and last names.

I cannot find the "pencil" is it possible that the school have disabled that, or am I looking in the wrong place?

The pencil icon referred to is on the new student details view in Bromcom. If you are using the old student details view go to Key Data page of the student record.
