I think our UPS has finally had it, it's old and the batteries were replaced 5 years ago. Any recommendations for a replacement ? The current one is a APC 3000 (SUA3000RMI2U)

Ours are all standalone/"chubby" units as I call them. Normal APC Smart UPS 1000 and 1500. Are you looking for one big UPS to replace it or 2x separate ones maybe? What's the current thinking on this?

I’m at the stage where I’ve started replacing our older APC 3000VA rack mount units. They were so good, I just bought the same again. Only had one fail, it wouldn’t take any load even with new batteries - old enough to forgive it though.

We got APC in our primary data centre, just about to refresh but also had some Bori ones in a spec when we put in a generator at a site I used to work at. Never heard of any issues there.

The UPS is in the main cab, protects the servers etc.

I was thinking of a split system now the servers have redundant PSUs, not sure if I should stick with 2 x 3000va or even APC . UPS ideally isn't something to cheap out on, but budgets etc. and it has had a long life so we definitely got our moneys worth!

Are tripplite or cyberpower any good ? Seems a bit cheap compared to APC and a UPS isn't something to really cheap out on

Seeing tripplite for about 900 ish and cyberpower about the same - the APC is about 1700, means I could get two of the other

We have a small cyberpower rack UPS which has not restarted a couple times after power cuts. Our CCTV has a tripplite UPS but it feels a bit plasticky. Our main UPS are APC and have been solid so far.
