I'm just running through options for cloud based filtering with the following features;

- Can auth with Azure AD

- Can make use of groups in Azure AD

- Fully compliant with the filtering standards expected

- Can use SSO

So far the options i have been investigating (they do not fit all the above criteria) are;

- Securly

- iBoss

Does anyone else know of others that i can investigate?

We looked at cloud filtering. I couldn't find anything decent enough, and if it was, it was super expensive. We went with an MPLS instead. Same principal. Until the costs come down for a decent solution we found it wasn't cost effective. In 3 or 4 years hopefully things would have moved on.

Microsoft 365 A5 has web filtering these days, and technically can meet your criteria as stated.

Though I suspect you meant user group filtering, and "expected standards" depends on perspective and priorities. :)

Yes, thats why i mean by group.

What i mean by expected standards is that they are a part of the IWF and are using the block list produced by the home office.

Can i ask when you last looked?

The MS service is backed by Cyren which is an IMF member. They also have UK offices, so its likely they subscribe to the list of sites published but CTIRU. I don't have a computer hooked up to the service right now to check, but this site from SWGfL and the UK Safer Internet Centre looks pretty useful for validating filtering services:

About 3 months ago. We continued with Smoothwall but across all our sites. Ditched Netsweeper.

Securly does all the functions you mentioned and it's cheap.

They do not sync group from Azure AD although apparently it's in the pipeline.

MPLS? Isn't that like a VLAN? Not sure how it relates to web content filtering

We can sync with OUs in a Microsoft AD / Azure hybrid environment and have recently introduced custom groups on top of that. We can also now do SSO on Windows, ChromeOS, Macs and even iPads - from anywhere without any on-prem kit!

As Nathan's mentioned native Azure group sync is being written at the moment.

We have a shed load of new filtering features and an all new interface in the works for release later this year! Nothing officially announced yet so keep it to yourself.. ;) Drop me a PM if you're interested in joining our tech preview programme once it's live.
