ProLiant ML350p Gen8 Server (Running Server 2016) warning message???

Hi Guys,

 

I have a warning message that has popped up recently, please see attached screenshot below.

 

Could anyone give me any pointers on what this is and how to fix it?

The P420i is a simple RAID card, it has cache to speed up operations, and a battery to make sure data from the cache isn't lost if the power fails.

I'd bet the battery is dead, it'll state it in the logs or in the bios boot up if your eyes are fast enough. if the battery has gone it'll flip into this mode to prevent data loss (with unexpected power loss) but if the server isn't super important... ignore it.

 

I have a few like this but they are unimportant servers doing 2nd backups. The performance hit seems to be minimal in that work load.

Very odd, the battery was only replaced about a month ago.
