PXE missing as a boot option

Here's a strange one....

 

I'm setting up some fresh PC's for the new term and i'm setting them up via PXE boot. One of the PC's i'm working on suddenly does the BSOD, i do a force reboot to start the process again and PXE is missing. Even after swapping SSD's i'm still getting the same problem.

 

Any ideas?

You've checked the Bios?

It seems unlikely but the BSOD might have reset it/changed something so it's PXE isn't enabled anymore.

Is it possible that the BSOD was caused by a fried network card?

I fished around the BIOS for a little bit not sure what i was meant to be looking for, so i might have to try reset the BIOS to defaults.

No network card included sir, since it's a PXE, it's a straight network boot.

I think it is rare for a modern OS to get a BSOD, it is prob a hardware fault.

 

But as others have said check you bios settings, what Make/Model is it?

 

It will have a built in NIC (Network Interface Card), some early laptops only had a Modem port and Ethernet/Wifi was often via a PCMCIA card but that was years ago, my first laptop lol. Still remember those days with Windows 95/98, lol.
