It must have skipped the part where he presses the power button for the first time and nothing happens!

 

Followed by 30 seconds of panic wondering what it could be, then you realise you haven't flicked the PSU switch!

Was worried that he didn't put thermal paste on the CPU but he got back to it eventually (personally not a fan of pre-applied or sticky pads). But he spread!!!! I'm a staunch advocate the 'grain of rice' technique, but maybe another thread is needed for thermal paste application - I know some people are so passionate about this topic. Also, not sure on his choice of curtain material?

I suspect the video had been edited as one I saw today showed him fitting the water cooler block upside down, which is why he had to re-apply paste.

Isn't there a type of paste you have to spread? Pretty sure it's one of the more expensive ones. But you could be right and he's just not aware of just applying a small blob in the middle like the rest of us.
