ForcePoint Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Anyone found a copy of the 2004 English Language pack? When manually installing, it installs version 10.0.19041.329 However, I am trying to use MDT to deploy an image and can't find this version anywhere. Previous versions fail in the task sequence with "incompatible version"
Steve21 Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 You shouldn't need to install any language pack for English as it already includes it What exactly are you trying to do with MDT regarding it? Like do you mean set it to English UK rather than US? Steve
ForcePoint Posted July 6, 2020 Author Posted July 6, 2020 Sorry yes, to change from English US to English UK. The pre-installed option only appears as English US, and if I manually add the UK version it says it's downloading it. I'm trying to add the LP as a package within MDT.
FragglePete Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 The pre-install never has the UK listed, it's always US - you can use a GPO to set the UK Language which it will more than likely detect anyway. You don't need to install a LP especially as part of a task sequence. Pete
computer_expert Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Use the English International ISO from VLSC as it has the UK regional settings as default. English: US settings English International: UK settings
Steve21 Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Yep, as above, two options one is force it via GPO after install, or just use the international one that's UK by default (Makes life easier ) Steve
ForcePoint Posted July 6, 2020 Author Posted July 6, 2020 I must be missing obvious here because, although I can set the English Language as a preferred UI and it does indeed appear. I only get the basic language option and none of the FOD. When trying to change the Windows Display Language, there is no drop down box, English (United States) is the only available option. I don't have access to the English Int ISO from VLSC, and ideally wouldn't want to start the image again as we've always been able to just add the LP in previously.
jslate1980 Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Use the English International ISO from VLSC as it has the UK regional settings as default. English: US settings English International: UK settings I would follow this advice, used to have same issue. International version made the build process a lot easier.
ticktock Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 As above, just change the language to English International in VLSC before downloading.
