PGamester Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 We run with 8 periods a day. Lesson 1 is 35 mins long, Lesson 2 is 40 mins long, Lesson 3 is 35 mins long etc etc etc In order to use the analysis reports accurately to see how much time has been allocated to a member of staff I would like to be able to reflect this in Nova. Is it possible and, what is the default amount of time used by the system? Many thanks Pippa
BKGarry Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 I don't think it is done in NT6 itself, the times are defined by the cycle exported from Nova to SIMS and it is SIMS that uses the times not NT6. 1
PGamester Posted June 24, 2020 Author Posted June 24, 2020 Thank you. How long is a session in Nova-T6? I ask because you tell Nova how many hours the teacher is employed for and it gives you their teaching commitment based on the timetable and whether or not they are above or below their expected hours in a classroom. But how does it calculate this?
MkII Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 I think you can only set one period length on the Cycle screen (top left) 1
PGamester Posted June 24, 2020 Author Posted June 24, 2020 That answers my question. I will split the difference and that way we will be just about on point. May I ask which Handbook this is in? I only have my training guides so need to download this book of wisdom!
MkII Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 It's the training manuals - there's a Part A and Part B dated copies of which can be found online eg: http://sims.cynnal.co.uk/aspRootC/Cwricwlwm/NovaT6_19112.pdf 1
