New Staff Laptops

Hi all, hope all is well. I am issuing new staff laptops very shortly but I am worried after the last lot that they are not being used properly when home (kids of teachers using them etc).

Does anyone have a template they would be willing to share as to an agreement you get staff to sign that covers this sort of thing?

The few we have of ours are configured with a cached AD account so only that staff member assigned to the laptop can login whilst offsite.

 

If their kids are using it, that's against the acceptable use policy right there surely? As they can only use it whilst logged on as that staff members account in my example?

Intune would definitely be the way to go so you can manage them remotely enough to ensure they don't go walkabouts.

AUP is the way to go and get this backed up by SMT otherwise it is pretty pointless.

 

You could prob do other things such as locking on extended periods of unattended, closing lid etc. and require password to unlock. Depending.

 

Then there is Bitlocker etc.
