jslate1980 Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Interested to know how and what platforms people are using for virtual open days?
timbo343 Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Possibly webex if i can get the go head for the softwarem 1
TechMonkey Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 We have created various videos and created a Spark thingy that can be mailed out to potential parents. Makes it a nice mixture of media, presented in a pleasing format. There was talk of creating an actual video tour but I think that was decided against as our site is quite spread out, so lots of walking having to be sped up. Looking like you are in a Benny Hill sketch is not desirable apparently. 1
paulkerton Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 We've done a video tour with one of our IT team who is a licensed drone pilot (those indoor shots with the drone are pretty amazing!) I know some others who have used ThingLink 1

I know some others who have used ThingLink I'd be interested in seeing that! Haven't got up the courage to fly the drone indoors yet! They were using a gimbal camera, like a drone, but hand held.
robyholmes Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 OBS + YouTube? https://obs.ninja is a great website for bringing remote cameras (Such as phones) in to OBS. 1
AJWhite1970 Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 My new IT prefect is currently filming round the school putting together two videos, one a tour of the school and the other more for sixth form. Prefect is an AV wizard and was last seen bossing the HM (from a safe distance) into several takes of the same scene to get it right. The plan is to release both videos ASAP on various social platforms and website 2

rad Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 Videos of the school and YouTube Live for questions to be answered. I’d be interested seeing the drone footage inside the school.
