caffrey Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 Can anyone recommend some Chromebooks and a supplier for me ? Looking for 25 14" 1
localzuk Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 I've used Paul Topham at CCS Media for the last 2 years for ours. Bought 610 of them so far. 2
Chaniel Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 Can happily recommend Haptic Networks (https://www.haptic-networks.com/), been using them for a few years and they've beaten others on Chromebook pricing, bought about 120~ so far. 1
VeryPC Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 Hey @caffrey That'll be us! We're able to supply them for you, as we're doing to quite a few schools at the moment! I'm going to get our awesome sales champion Colin to drop you a PM so keep an eye on your inbox! - Ryan 1
caffrey Posted June 5, 2020 Author Posted June 5, 2020 Mind you I can't believe I've been given a week to get this sorted Just tried getting directly in touch with lenovo education directly - wow that was painful , ended up putting the phone down
Primus Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 I would heartily recommend GeTech - we've always used Rebecca and their customer service and pricing has been spot on. 1
VeryPC Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 I've bought mine from @VeryPC Good to hear, Dan! - Ryan
mwnci Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Probably worth looking into this: https://national.lgfl.net/smartbuy/devices Unclear what the pricing will be currently.
JohnJackson Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Pricing out tomorrow - and you'll all LOVE IT 1
fiza Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 Pricing out tomorrow - and you'll all LOVE IT @JohnJackson Have you an ETA on pricing please? Will those schools who made enquiries get an email or will the prices be published on the new devices website?
JohnJackson Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 Pricing will be on the site today .... I guarantee that, at this point, they are the best in the market. Overnight the number of interested schools doubled ... we want to order 1 million devices. If EDUGEEKERS supported us we can get there #Kit2Kids #BridgeTheDivide 1
JohnJackson Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 International shipping costs have been late! I have them now. So we will publish shortly. Schools have been sent indicative numbers.
JohnJackson Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Fiza we finalised pricing at 6am today!! The marketing team are updating the images on the site. I expect to publish at lunchtime. EduGeek will light up when you see the pricing. 1
fiza Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 @JohnJackson - That is excellent news. Look forward to seeing the pricing and then convincing our SLT!
JohnJackson Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Prices are now there Fiza. Thanks for bearing with us.
fiza Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Prices are now there Fiza. Thanks for bearing with us. Those are some great prices!!
snagrat Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Are all those models available now? The Lenovo 300e, for example, I have been told that these will not be available until Sept at the earliest.
Steve21 Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Prices are now there Fiza. Thanks for bearing with us. Does the “starting from” aspect assume those are bulk prices and buying less at a time are higher prices not shown ? Or is it based on spec if upgrading bits? Steve
JohnJackson Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 I wanted all schools to have the same price - irrespective of size as we have a national emergency regarding the lack of device provision in small schools as well as large ones. By procuring at massive scale I've got a bulk discount for everyone! So the starting price is the starting price for everyone Schools will want to consider, on advice from their trusted support teams (including people like your goodself!) , whether they need extended warranties, etching, support with implementation etc. Hope this helps. Keen Geeking 1
JohnJackson Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 That is a fair assessment if you're using ships to transport the goods from the far east. LGfL, mindful that we want schools to have the kit as early as possible, has expedited the shipping so we are aiming for kit to arrive before the start of the new academic year. All I would say to all Edugeekers is order asap as I'm already close to fulfilling the first order that we placed with Lenovo.
